Total domination. That’s the best way to describe the series opener between the Hawkeyes and Buckeyes on Friday afternoon. Rick Heller squad jumped on Ohio State early with three home runs in the first two innings, including a pair from Reese Moore to open up a 6-0 advantage. They tacked on three runs in the fourth and three more in the fifth en route to a 12-0 run-rule victory in seven innings. Cade Obermueller was impressive on the mound, tossing 6.0 scoreless innings, including a season-high nine strikeouts, while Chas Wheatley struck out the side in the seventh to close things out.
