One of the greatest eleven month long runs you’ll ever see from a women’s basketball player has come to a close. Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever saw their season end on Wednesday night, as they fell to the Connecticut Sun 87-81 in Game 2 of the First Round of the WNBA Playoffs.

““It was special,” Clark said after the loss on Wednesday night. “There was a lot of things that this group accomplished that a lot of people probably didn’t think was possible.”

While it is unfortunate to see the season end, the Fever made a big jump from 13-27 in 2023 to a 20-20 mark this season. The end of the 2024 campaign also means that Caitlin Clark will finally be able to sit back, relax and recover.

“I feel like it will be good for me to kind of reflect back on everything that’s happened,” said Clark. “It will definitely be probably a little weird for me over the course of the first couple of weeks and then I’m sure I’ll get bored and pick up a basketball again.”

“I don’t know what I’m going to do tomorrow, I don’t know what I’m going to the next day. Maybe play some golf. I think that’s what I’m going to do until it becomes too cold in Indiana.”
