Rick Heller recaps the fall, previews the winter portion of the offseason
The Black & Gold World Series always makes for a competitive and fun end to the Iowa Fall Baseball season. This year, they needed all three games to decide a winner and Black came away with a 4-0 victory on Friday afternoon at Duane Banks Field. Home runs from freshman Colin Coonradt and Cash Campbell carried Black to the win.
I caught up with head coach Rick Heller after the game to recap the Black & Gold World Series and take a look back at the entire fall season. We also discussed what the focus will be for the program in terms of improvements during the winter months.
Up Next: The next time the Iowa Baseball team takes the field for a game, it will be the season opener against South Florida on February 14th in Tampa.
