SUMMARY: Iowa Men's Wrestling competes at the Luther Open

The second-ranked Iowa men’s wrestling team traveled to Decorah on Saturday to compete at the Luther College Open. 23 Hawkeye wrestlers combined for 15 pins, 37 tech falls, a 96-18 record and eight titles.

Drake Ayala (125), Jace Rhodes (133), Jared Franek (157), Michael Caliendo (165), Gabe Arnold (174), Brennan Swafford (184) and Zach Glazier (197) won championships in the Elite Division, while Isaiah Fenton won the Silver Bracket title at 157 lbs. Iowa finished with an 82-11 record against non-Iowa wrestlers in the Elite Division.

The Hawkeyes led the Elite Division with seven first place finishes and 13 top three finishes. Augsburg University finished with one champion and six top three finishes, while Wartburg College had two top three finishes. UW-Whitewater won the title at 141 lbs.
