USC shows great respect to Hawkeyes in defeat
The USC women’s basketball team was willing to be part of a one celebration in Iowa City on Sunday afternoon. As it turned out the #4 ranked Trojans were part of two of them in a 76-69 loss to the Hawkeyes in front of a sold out Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
JuJu Watkins and the Trojans spoke to the media after the game and discussed sticking around for the post game celebration honoring the great Caitlin Clark having her jersey retired following the game. They also discussed Iowa building an early lead on them and then their rally in the second half and how the Hawkeyes were able to ultimately pull away for the victory. Plus, they talk about the outstanding atmosphere in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
