VIDEO: Iowa Women's Basketball Media Day Practice
The big event of the day was the media session of Iowa Women’s Basketball media day, but once that portion came to a close, it was back to business as normal for the Hawkeyes. Lisa Bluder and her team were allowed ten extra practices this summer due to their trip to Europe. They went 3-0 in their trip to Italy and Croatia.
Now, official practice is underway, with a pair of exhibition matchups against DePaul (Oct 15) and Clarke University (Oct 22) set in the not too distant future, while the season opener is set for November 6th against Fairleigh Dickinson. We were allowed to take a few minutes of video at the beginning of practice, which gives you a chance to see the Hawkeyes in action.
Kate Martin is notably absent from any of the practice video. She attended the media portion of the day, but did not participate in practice due to feeling under the weather.
