If the Hawkeyes want to make the NCAA Tournament, the time to start stacking wins is now. Despite showing signs of improvement over the last couple of games, Iowa has lost four straight games for the first time since 2016 and sits at 2-5 in Big Ten play. On Thursday night, the Hawkeyes played mostly clean basketball, but a miserable night at the free throw line cost them in their loss to Nebraska. Up next, Iowa travels to the west coast for meetings with Oregon and Washington.

Assistant coach Sean Sullivan is in his first year with the Hawkeyes, after spending the last two seasons on staff at North Carolina. He met with the media on Friday afternoon, discussing who the best defenders on the team are, the staffs progress with finding the right lineup pairings and the possibility of implementing some more press defense. He also spoke about Aaliyah Guyton and Taylor Stremlow and what they have added from a leadership standpoint as freshmen.
