WATCH: Fran McCaffery, talks adversity, previews Wisconsin
The Iowa men’s basketball team has faced their fair share of adversity this season, both self-induced and unlucky. Losing Owen Freeman for the rest of the season was the latest blow, but despite losing to #7 Purdue on Tuesday, the Hawkeyes battled and made it a closer game than many expected. Now, they will welcome the #21 Wisconsin Badgers to Carver on Saturday, looking to put up a better performance than they did in their 116-85 loss in Madison back on January 3rd.
Head coach Fran McCaffery met with the media on Thursday afternoon to discuss the makeup of his team and how they’ve battled through adversity and how they will approach Saturday against Wisconsin after the blowout defeat in Madison. He also spoke about bringing Brock Harding off the bench against Purdue.
