WATCH: Jan Jensen, Hawkeyes recap their win over Drake
The Iowa Women’s Basketball pulled away from Drake in the second half to pick up an impressive road win on Sunday afternoon at the Knapp Center. Addi O’Grady finished with a team-high 27 points and ten rebounds, while Lucy Olsen poured in 18 points. Four Hawkeyes scored in double figures. The Hawkeyes have now won 19 of their last 20 meetings with the Bulldogs.
Jan Jensen met with the media after the game to discuss the play of her center Addi O’Grady, the second quarter run that gave Iowa a ten-point halftime lead and what it was like returning to Drake as head coach of the Hawkeyes.
We also got to speak with Addi O’Grady and Teagan Mallegni in the postgame press conference. O’Grady spoke about what was working for her against the Drake defense, handling the Knapp Center environment and the growth in her confidence. Mallegni spoke about the second quarter rally that put the team in front at halftime.
