Amid their first three-game losing streak since 2018, the Iowa women’s basketball (12-5, 2-4) team finds themselves a part of NCAA Tournament bubble discussions, a situation they haven’t encountered for the better part of a decade. The road doesn’t get any easier for the Hawkeyes, as they host Nebraska on Thursday, before traveling west for road games against Oregon and Washington. It’s as an important stretch of games as Iowa has had, regarding the NCAA Tournament, in quite some time.

Head coach Jan Jensen met with the media on Wednesday morning to discuss how they staff has gone about getting the pieces to fit together, her substitution patterns against Indiana and the feeling in the locker room during this losing skid. She also spoke about their upcoming game against Nebraska and the challenges that the Huskers present.

We also got to speak with Lucy Olsen and Aaliyah Guyton. They spoke about balancing urgency with knowing there’s a lot of basketball left, how they’ve been working through the losing streak and more.
