WATCH: Jan Jensen, Hawkeyes talk loss to UCLA

For a while, it looked like the Hawkeyes just might be able to pull off two massive upsets against the Los Angeles schools. The Iowa women’s basketball, at one point, led 46-34 in the third quarter, but the Bruins fought back and hit big shots down the stretch to come away with a 67-65 win. The Hawkeyes fall to 18-9 overall and 8-8 in Big Ten play.
Head coach Jan Jensen met with the media after the game to discuss what the play call was on the final possession, as well as what was similar and different about the close losses to OSU and UCLA.
We also got to hear from Taylor McCabe and Lucy Olsen, getting their thoughts on how the game played out. Olsen spoke about the late sequence that included her making three free throws and then committing a foul on the other end of the floor. McCabe spoke about going to the wire with top ten teams in back-to-back games.
