It’s been a steady progression for Syd Affolter since she stepped on campus as a true freshman. She slowly earned more and more minutes, before breaking through with an impressive postseason run as a starter last season. Now, a clear fan favorite, Affolter is playing the best basketball of her career, averaging 11.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per game over her last 11 games, including a career-high 24 points against Michigan.
On Thursday afternoon, Syd Affolter met with the media discussing how quick her time at Iowa has gone, her favorite memories in the black and gold, as well as where her 24-point outburst on Wednesday night against Michigan might stand in the rankings.
