Jaylen Watson developing at cornerback
Phil Parker is looking to develop depth at the cornerback position and one of the players he started doing that with going back to last year was Jaylen Watson. In his freshman season, Watson was out there, first on special teams and then eventually playing some cornerback.
Now he is in is first dose of spring football at Iowa and headed into this sophomore year with the Hawkeyes. He talked about the message from Phil Parker heading into spring ball, what it was like playing special teams last season, and the nerves he felt when he was out there playing at corner as a true freshman.
