Nwankpa continues growth process
When Xavier Nwankpa arrived on campus last year for spring ball the expectations for the Iowa Hawkeye five star recruit was off the charts. By the end of his first year on campus, Nwankpa made the most of an opportunity to start at strong safety, intercepting a pass and returning it for a touchdown in the Music City Bowl victory over Kentucky.
Nwankpa discusses building upon his positive finish to his first year and the battle that he has having with Cooper DeJean to win the defensive turnover creation battle this spring and how he closed that gap this week after an interception in practice earlier on Thursday.
