3-2-1: Kansas State must avoid a letdown
THREE THINGS WE LEARNED
1. KANSAS STATE DOESN’T LIKE MISSOURI: They bought a billboard to greet Missouri with a goodbye message in Kansas City on their way home to Columbia. Kansas State running back Deuce Vaughn has revealed his bulletin board material. Felix Anudike-Uzomah was extra animated on the field. They have mocked Eli Drinkwitz’s tweet and head coach Chris Klieman didn’t engage in any conversation with the Tigers’ head coach.
2. HAYES IS IMPORTANT: Safety Josh Hayes missed the first game but returned to action versus Missouri on Saturday and was phenomenal. We received the impression during the offseason by the way it was discussed that he was the best safety for K-State. Kobe Savage is making that argument interesting, but it is clear that he is a critical piece to this year’s club.
3. STILL UNPREDICTABLE: College football is still unpredictable. We just witnessed Marshall defeating Notre Dame, Georgia Southern upsetting Nebraska and Appalachian State shocking Texas A&M in the same week.
TWO QUESTIONS
1. LOOKING BACK OR LOOKING AHEAD: Kansas State is in a letdown spot. Will they respond this week when Tulane comes to town? They expended a lot of emotional energy in defeating Missouri and have a monumental showdown with Oklahoma for a primetime kick that looms a week later.

2. NEW UNIFORMS: Will the Wildcats finally win with alternate uniforms? They’re sporting a new helmet decal, a white helmet and white pants for Saturday when they host the Green Wave, who also typically have a pretty sexy uniform combination as well.
ONE PREDICTION
1. RUNNING GAME: Are we going to see the passing game finally take form this season? I don’t think so. K-State will have to deal with the elements once again on Saturday. Wind gusts are supposed to be in the neighborhood of 30 miles per hour. Kansas State will likely have to lean on the running game once more.
