Kansas State knows which Big 12 teams they will see at home and on the road in men’s basketball this season after an announcement from the league. It is different this year because they won’t see every conference opponent twice since there’s 14 members.

Women’s basketball conference opponents were also announced earlier today as well.

K-State will play at home and on the road versus Iowa State, Kansas, BYU, Oklahoma State and West Virginia. It will year No. 112 in a row that Kansas State and the Jayhawks will play on each other’s home floor.

The basketball version of the Sunflower Showdown is the sixth-most played basketball game in Division I. It will also be the 106th consecutive year that K-State will play the Cyclones in Manhattan and Ames in a series that dates back to 1909.

Kansas State will play games in Manhattan only against Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma and UCF. The meeting with the Sooners will be the final time Oklahoma comes to Manhattan as members of the Big 12 conference. UCF will be making just their second trip to K-State in school history.

Kansas State will play road games only against Cincinnati, Houston, Texas and Texas Tech. Those four schools combined to go 65-9 in home games last season.

Just like in football, the Wildcats will only play a road game against the Longhorns in their final year in the Big 12. Last season, the two teams split the season series. The road team won both contests.

It will be the first time that K-State has played at Houston and at Cincinnati in more than 50 years.

The dates for the games will be announced at a later date. KSO will share the details when it is revealed.
