The title says tight end chatter, and we can dig into that right away. There’s no secret that Garrett Oakley and Will Swanson are going to play a lot for K-State. But that may not be the only one that receives a chunk of snaps. A third has produced some considerable momentum.

I’m not sure it will be a season where Kansas State true freshmen litter the field. It will be rare when we see one at all most likely. And that’s not an indictment on the class and more a result of pure circumstance.
First, it wasn’t a big group. Secondly, a good portion of it lies on the offensive line – a spot that is not known for year one contributors. However, there is a K-State true freshman generating some overwhelmingly exciting whispers.
