Our Kansas State buzz comes via a message board post at KSO and digs into all sorts of relevant topics in Wildcat land. Spring ball is officially behind us in Manhattan, and we are sharing all the inside intel we have gathered on each spot from the month of practice.

We have completed the offensive side of the ball, and it’s now time to discuss the defense.

In somewhat of a twist, I believe the K-State offense was ahead of the defense. Some of that was due to guys sitting out, and some of it was integrating some new pieces to the unit – the exception being the defensive line.

Speaking of the front, what’s the depth chart at defensive end going to look like and how will Kansas State rotate the several pass-rushers they have assembled? That’s the main question. And who had the best spring?

The kind of front will dictate who and how many play on the defensive line, of course. And we anticipate K-State deploying both 3-man and 4-man fronts. Which players could see time on the edge and in the interior? Which three are rising to the top of the defensive tackle depth chart?

  • Three defensive ends that impressed the most.
  • How many players will see snaps on the edge for Kansas State?
  • How defensive alignment could affect the Wildcats’ rotation.
  • Identifying the K-State players expected to contribute on the interior of the defensive line.

That is just a taste of what can be found in our Kansas State team and recruiting content on a weekly basis throughout the calendar year. There has never been a better time to join the largest community of K-State fans on the internet that converse and discuss the Wildcats on a daily basis.
