Our Kansas State buzz comes via a message board post at KSO and digs into all sorts of relevant topics in Wildcat land. I may have just made landfall in Phoenix for the coverage of the Rate Bowl, but we still have eyes on the transfer portal well.

Remember, K-State has been outstanding when it comes to retention, especially compared to the rest of the country.

In addition, they have already landed six in Oklahoma cornerback transfer Jayden Rowe, Purdue receiver transfer Jaron Tibbs and wideout Jerand Bradley of Boston College, USC offensive line transfer Amos Talalele, West Georgia safety Mar’quavious Moss and Ohio State linebacker transfer Gabe Powers.

But it’s now the dead period. What’s that mean going forward for the Wildcats?

Top targets remain for Kansas State. Where do they stand with top options on the offensive side of the ball, such as offensive linemen Travis Burke (FIU) and Zen Michalski (Ohio State)? Is another receiver in the cards?

A few top defensive options still left on the Kansas State board have already visited Manhattan. That group consists of Georgia Tech defensive tackle transfer Horace Lockett, Arizona safety transfer Gunner Maldonado and West Florida linebacker transfer Ralph Ortiz.

Do we expect any to become Wildcats in the near future?

We provide a hint below of what’s inside.

  • Offensive line continues to be an emphasis for K-State.
