Our Kansas State buzz comes via a message board post at KSO and digs into all sorts of relevant topics in Wildcat land. The offseason is back front and center after K-State stormed Phoenix and came from behind to defeat Rutgers in the Rate Bowl.

With no bowl prep on the agenda anymore, it returns to who the Wildcats will add to the roster between now and the start of the 2025 season. However, there is a caveat. They can still lose guys to the portal for the moment. We explain why.

There is more than one way to field a competent roster. Some of it is retention. Some of it is exceptional high school recruiting. Some of it is fantastic portal recruiting. Those that can do a little bit of everything will be very successful on the field.

Kansas State may have another weapon. We update the status of offensive linemen Taylor Poitier and Hadley Panzer applying for waivers to pursue another season of eligibility.

Thanks to the new junior college ruling spurned by Diego Pavia challenging the legislation so that he can have more eligibility as the Vanderbilt starting quarterback, the Wildcats are likely to get a surprise for the 2025 roster.
