Felix Anudike-Uzomah wins Big 12 defensive player of the year
Kansas State defensive end Felix Anudike-Uzomah earns 2022 Big 12 defensive player and defensive lineman of the year. On the season the junior completed 39 total tackles, 10 for loss and 7.5 sacks. He also forced two fumbles. The edge rusher’s efforts also earned him first team All-Big 12 for the second time.
Anudike-Uzomah has been terrorizing backfields the moment he got to Manhattan, Kansas. In his sophomore season last year he accumulated 50 total tackles and 11 sacks earning him 2021 Big 12 first team defense and defensive lineman of the year.

This is years honor is a cherry on top to an incredible Wildcats career. The Lee’s Summit native could add onto it by coming back for another year, but there’s a chance he takes his talents to the NFL. Many believe him to be drafted on the first or second day of the 2023 NFL draft.
In his career he has totaled 90 total tackles, 25.5 for loss, 19.5 sacks and eight forced fumbles. He is known for growing a bunch in his first year on campus into one of the largest and scariest edge rushers to lineup against.
