With Uso Seumalo and Daniel Green already back in the fold for Kansas State, the injury attention is now more so on offensive lineman Christian Duffie, linebacker Jake Clifton and wide receiver Keagan Johnson.

K-State head coach Chris Klieman did not provide an update on Duffie, but he is once again missing from the depth chart. Clifton was described as “doubtful” when asked about and Johnson remains a day-to-day case.

Seumalo played 11 snaps last week and Green was on the field for 38 and both continue to trend in the right direction. The same can be said for Seth Porter, who will be back in the regular Kansas State rotation at receiver.

It was the second quarter when Clifton hobbled off the field and was immediately taken to the locker room. When asked where he was in his recovery, the K-State head coach shared that he was doubtful and considered him a long shot to play against Troy on Saturday.

He played in 14 snaps before being injured.

Unlike Clifton, Johnson was not even in uniform after suffering a setback in practice later in the week. That was the verdict from Klieman when he met with a throng of Kansas State media members after the game on Saturday.

His additional comments on the matter on Tuesday noted that Johnson was still day-to-day and that they’d have to let the week play out before knowing anything further. Though it doesn’t appear to be a certainty that he will be available versus Troy, Johnson was at practice and doing some things on Monday.

With that being said, his participation at the K-State practice did seem limited at best. The next public update on his status will come on Thursday when we meet with Kansas State offensive coordinator Collin Klein. KSO will continue to provide the latest up until kickoff.
