Kansas State has added another player to the 2025 recruiting class. Grapevine, Texas defensive end Brad Stanyer has committed to K-State.

The announcement from the defensive end comes shortly after an official visit to Kansas State for the season opener versus UT-Martin. He was joined on the visit by Nebraska linebacker Darien Whitaker and major 2026 targets Ian Premer, Braden Wilmes and Tyren Parker. I would expect some more out of that group to join Stanyer as a commit in the future.

Stanyer’s recruitment was a bit of a sprint. Kansas State offered the senior defensive end after seeing him in a camp setting over the summer. After the offer, K-State shot out to a massive lead and got an official visit scheduled for the opening weekend. While on the official visit, the Wildcats sealed the deal and gained his commitment. In total, Stanyer held offers from Air Force, Army, Cornell, Montana, Texas State and Yale before committing to Kansas State.

K-State has had success in Texas in the past and the 2025 class is no different. The Wildcats have now landed three prospects from The Lone Star State in the 2025 class. Stanyer joins fellow defensive end Dalton Knapp and linebacker Weston Polk in the recruiting class. Specifically, Grapevine has been kind to Kansas State. Knapp is also a Grapevine native as well as current K-State offensive lineman Drake Bequeaith.

After losing out on both Kade Pietrzak and Shawn Hammerbeck, the Wildcats may be finished at defensive end with the addition of Stanyer. Knapp fills the role of a lighter defensive end who can rush the passer. Stanyer will be a bit of a heavier defensive end like Chiddi Obiazor and Travis Bates for Kansas State in the 3-3-5 defense.

Overall, Stanyer is commitment No. 18 for Kansas State.
