Kansas State adds junior college DL Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder
Kansas State has added another player to its 2024 recruiting class. Butler Community College defensive lineman Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder has made his verbal pledge to K-State.
The announcement for Alcorn-Crowder comes on the heels of an official visit to Manhattan. He was joined in The Little Apple by North Dakota transfer offensive lineman Easton Kilty and high school running back DeVon Rice.
The defensive lineman did not hold an offer from the Wildcats for long, but the two sides came together very quickly. Alcorn-Crowder’s offer from Kansas State came on November 27 and he visited K-State as soon as he could. In fact, the Wildcats’ head coach Chris Klieman also went to see the Butler product the week of his offer. His relationship with the Wildcats staff led to an early commitment.
Alcorn-Crowder held significant offers from Cincinnati, Florida, Houston, Maryland, Miami, Minnesota, Mississippi State, NC State, South Carolina and USC before committing to Kansas State.

The Wildcats held off strong overtures from both Florida and Cincinnati.
K-State is no stranger to adding players from the junior college ranks. Last season, the Wildcats added four players from the junior college ranks. The Massachusetts native is the first of the 2024 cycle to commit to Kansas State.
Overall the defensive lineman is commitment No. 14 and the fifth commitment on the defensive side of the ball for K-State (not counting portal additions). He is also the first defensive lineman to commit to the Wildcats in the 2024 class. Kansas State will be looking to add more defensive linemen in the coming weeks.
This season for the Grizzlies, the defensive lineman totaled 28 tackles, seven sacks and two forced fumbles. Alcorn-Crowder is a December graduate from Butler Community College and will have three years of eligibility remaining. He does not have a redshirt available, though.
