Kansas State adds OL George Fitzpatrick
Kansas state has added perhaps its final transfer portal addition. Ohio State offensive lineman George Fitzpatrick has committed to the Wildcats.
The decision for Fitzpatrick comes on the heels of an official visit to Manhattan. Shortly after winning the National Championship Monday, Fitzpatrick took an official visit to K-State which wrapped up today with him committing to head coach Chris Klieman and company.
It is a major win for Kansas State offensive line coach and offensive coordinator Conor Riley. After missing out on a few offensive linemen earlier in the portal cycle, K-State has now added Wagner tackle Brandon Sneh and USC guard Amos Talalele along with Fitzpatrick.
Tackle became a major need for the Wildcats. Easton Kilty graduated and starting right tackle Carver Willis elected to enter the transfer portal and has signed with Washington. It is possible center Sam Hecht is the only returning starter for Kansas State along the offensive line next season pending waivers for both Hadley Panzer and Taylor Poitier.

This season for the Buckeyes, Fitzpatrick played in 15 games with some snaps coming on the field goal unit as well as snaps along the offensive line.
Like Jayden Rowe and JayShawn Ross, K-State was very familiar with Fitzpatrick due to the high school recruiting days. Kansas State was one of the first schools to offer the Colorado native. We have seen a few times now where prior relationships have worked out well for the Wildcats in the transfer portal.
In total, Fitzpatrick is transfer portal addition No. 14 for K-State.
He joins the class of Rowe, Purdue wide receiver Jaron Tibbs, West Georgia safety Mar’Quavious Moss, Ohio State linebacker Gabe Powers, Boston College wideout Jerand Bradley, Talalele, Arizona safety Gunner Maldonado, Nebraska running back Gabe Ervin, South Alabama corner Amarion Fortenberry, Ross, Sneh, New Mexico wide receiver Caleb Medford and West Florida linebacker Ralph Ortiz.
Fitzpatrick will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
