Kansas State Basketball Buzz: Dug McDaniel to play an important piece in future
Our Kansas State buzz comes via a message board post at KSO and digs into all sorts of relevant topics in Wildcat land. We identify standouts from the basketball team in the last week, which included a loss to UCF but a win over Colorado.
Much of the K-State roster has been mired in a bit of inconsistency, such as CJ Jones and Brendan Hausen. Some have lost their shooting stroke. But one guy continues to bring it on both ends of the floor for the Wildcats.

We have already turned the page a bit to next season and how Jerome Tang and company will manage the roster. He has not been shy in recent press conferences about discussing a future in Manhattan that includes point guard Dug McDaniel.
And I’m on board with that. But we discuss what has to happen for it to work out at K-State.

Speaking of constructing the 2025-2026 Kansas State roster, Tang and the coaches are all over that. They’re expecting a couple new additions to announce this week. They’ve mentioned having McDaniel back but also Taj Manning.
