Kansas State guard Dug McDaniel enters the transfer portal

On3’s Joe Tipton is reporting that Dug McDaniel intends to enter the transfer portal. The Kansas State guard spent one season in Manhattan after playing his first two years at Michigan.
With the entry, McDaniel becomes the fifth K-State player to exit the program this offseason. Four of those five were players who transferred in last offseason.
McDaniel experienced an up and down year playing for Jerome Tang. He averaged over 11 points per game and dished out nearly five assists per game. But he also went through large stretches of the season without starting games, including games where he was essentially benched by the third year head coach.
McDaniel’s best games came during the six-game win streak, including 20 points against Iowa State and 24 against Arizona. Against Kansas, he notched a double-double with 11 assists.
