Kansas State lands Creighton transfer Arthur Kaluma
Kansas State has quieted the critics yet again by landing their second commitment from the portal in Creighton forward transfer Arthur Kaluma. He picked the Wildcats immediately after his official visit to Manhattan over the weekend.
K-State landed him over the likes of Kentucky, Alabama and Texas Tech. All three programs had been working to host him for a visit next week, but Jerome Tang and Kansas State beat them to the punch and closed.
Originally from Uganda, Kaluma spent two seasons in Omaha with the Bluejays.
As a freshman in 2021, he started 30 games for Creighton. The newest K-State hooper was also named to the All-Big East freshman team after averaging 10.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. He was also second on the team in dunks with 21.
Kaluma averaged 11.8 points and six rebounds per contest this past season, which was his sophomore year. He was fifth on the Bluejays in points per game and third in rebounds per game.

He was at his best when the stage was the brightest, too, just like new Kansas State guard Tylor Perry. In the NCAA Tournament, the Wildcat commit averaged 10.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game and helped lead Creighton to the Elite Eight.
After the season, Kaluma went through the draft process while being in the transfer portal. After withdrawing his name from NBA consideration, he scheduled an official visit to K-State, and it was his first and only one of the process.
According to the On3 transfer rankings, Kaluma is the No. 72 overall transfer and No. 4 transfer available. He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
