Kansas State lands junior college wideout JD Davis
Kansas State added to its 2025 recruiting class with the addition of Trinity Valley Junior College wide receiver JD Davis. He announced his commitment to the Wildcats via his social media accounts on Monday morning.
It was a very quick recruitment between K-State and Davis. The Wildcats offered the junior college wide receiver November 13 and moved to get an official visit scheduled for November 17. While in Manhattan, a few things stood out to the junior college wideout.
“My reflection of the whole visit is wholesome,” Davis said. “I enjoyed being in Manhattan. It was a great time spent with all the recruiting staff and appreciate them.”
Kansas State safety Dante Thomas as well as wide receiver Jackson Voth were the Texan’s hosts during the weekend.
“They kept it real,” Davis pointed out. “They said the fans are diehard. The city is K-State and they care. Coaches give you a multitude of opportunities in practice to showcase who you are on the field and I’m ready.”

Being around K-State wide receivers coach Matthew Middleton left a major impression on Davis.
“It was a blessing being around Middleton,” he explained. “Coach made sure I was where I was physically and don’t get too big of the moment. It’s business. He made sure within his pregame routine from Friday to Sunday to still make time for me and my family. He was asking questions and making sure we were never in need. He’s a good dude for sure. The mutual respect and feel to build a better relationship stood out being around him. Coach is going to tell you how it is good or bad on and off the field so you can’t ask for nothing better than Coach Mid.”
Davis committed to Kansas State over offers from Arkansas State, Campbell, FAU, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, Jacksonville State, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Monroe, UMASS, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, Troy, UTEP, Western Kentucky and Western Michigan. A few things went into his decision to commit to the Wildcats.
“Hospitality and the opportunity at hand for myself at K-State,” he answered. “I’ve been a go-getter.”
The junior college wide receiver is commitment No. 20 in the 2025 recruiting class for the Wildcats. He joins Dillon Duff, Weston Polk, Will Kemna, Martel Jackson, Adonis Moise, Dalton Knapp, Sawyer Schilke, JoJo Scott, Maguire Richman, Dominic Mitchell, Brock Heath, Linkon Cure, RJ Collins, Monterrio Elston, Ashton Moore, Noah King, Logan Bartley, Brad Stanyer and Darien Whitaker.
Davis has two years of eligibility remaining as well as a redshirt.
