Kansas State lands North Dakota State DB transfer Marques Sigle
Kansas State has landed another commitment from the transfer portal, this time in the form of North Dakota State defensive back Marques Sigle.
Despite primarily playing cornerback in Fargo, he will be a safety for K-State. That is a position of major need for the Wildcats who will be forced to replace Josh Hayes, Cincere Mason and Drake Cheatum after the Sugar Bowl. Additionally, safety TJ Smith has entered the transfer portal.
Sigle’s announcement comes on the heels of his official visit this past weekend in Manhattan. It was a busy weekend for Kansas State. They hosting four players from the transfer portal, a junior college prospect and a tight end target that was committed elsewhere a few weeks ago.
His decision to leave the Bison for Manhattan also makes it back-to-back seasons that K-State has taken a transfer from North Dakota State. Remember, Hayes played for the Bison before originally transferring to Virginia.
Sigle, an Omaha native, picked Kansas State over other offers from Akron, Ball State, Colorado State, James Madison and Murray State.

He played in all 11 games for North Dakota State and tallied 27 tackles and grabbed two interceptions for the Bison. Sigle also had the highest Pro Football Focus grade among North Dakota State cornerbacks with a score of 84.9.
The newest K-State safety will arrive in Manhattan with two years of eligibility remaining.
