Kansas State’s first three commits in the 2025 class visited on June 7th. Weston Polk, Will Kemna and Dillon Duff were all in Manhattan for official visits.

Polk committed to Kansas State back in April. His official visit was the first time he has been back in The Little Apple since committing.

“The visit was amazing. The whole staff did a great job of planning it and making me feel at home,” Polk began. “It was great getting to be around the players and getting their opinions on how great K-State is.”

A few moments in particular on the visit stood out to the rising senior.

“Honestly just hanging out with the players and coaches was the best part,” he shared. “Meeting my future teammates and coaches and building those relationships is important to me.”

Polk enjoyed being around the other Kansas State recruits.

“It was great. Duff and Kenma are both fun dudes to be around,” he pointed out.

The Lone Star State native holds a strong relationship with the other Wildcat commits.

“Being around them this weekend definitely built some relationships with them. Dillon is an awesome guy to be around, and will be a great team leader for us at quarterback. Will Kemna is a really cool guy as well,” he noted.

“I’d just say as a whole, all the recruits are like-minded kids that I would love to be around on and off the field.”

The visit checked all of Polk’s boxes.

“The recruiting staff did an amazing job planning it and making it perfect. It was extremely organized and we got treated amazing,” he opined. “The whole staff just does a great job keeping it real and authentic and giving us a look of what the day in the life will look like. The coaches were around us as much as possible trying to build personal and meaningful relationships.”

There are a few differences in going on a visit as an un-committed prospect as opposed to going as a committed prospect in Polk’s eyes.

“It’s so much better. It’s like going on a date with a girl versus going on your honeymoon with your wife if you will (laughs). Nothing is awkward, you know everyone there, and there’s just a special feeling you have knowing that you’ll 100% be there in less than a year,” he said.
