Kansas State visit recap from junior college lineman Tidiane Jalloh
Kansas State hosted a visitor last weekend in Independence Community College defensive end Tidiane Jalloh. His recruitment is starting to take off a bit, as he has added an offer from Iowa State since the trip to Manhattan.
Though he didn’t walk away with a K-State offer in hand, he had great things to say about his time on the Kansas State campus with the football staff, particularly his experience watching Jerome Tang and company operate inside Bramlage Coliseum.
“The visit was great,” Jalloh said. “The coaching staff was very nice and welcoming. The players I met were super nice to me and made me feel like the program is a big family. I also loved the atmosphere of the basketball game. The fans are crazy and very active.”
One moment in particular stood out to the native of France.
“I think the meeting I had with defensive line coach, Coach [Buddy] Wyatt,” Jalloh responded. “That was my favorite part. It’s always a pleasure to talk with a coach who has a lot of experience. But I have to mention the basketball game, too.”
Of course, he also had an opportunity to speak with K-State head coach Chris Klieman as well.
“We shook hands,” Jalloh explained. “He told me how they could help me develop my football skills and my body the right way and that I physically corresponded to what they expect from a defensive end. He asked me questions about my family, my background and a few questions about my football experience.”
The late signing period is coming up on February 1, but Jalloh is not worried about rushing into any kind of decision. He may not even sign at that point. After all, he will not exit the junior college ranks until after Spring semester.
“I don’t think I will sign in February,” he revealed. “I’m probably going to finish the semester at Indy (Independence Community College) and then sign after that. But we never know. Maybe a program is going to make me change my mind.”

While he does not hold an offer from Kansas State at the moment, that could change soon.
“They want me to come to one of their practices during the spring and they’ll come see me here at Indy as well,” Jalloh divulged. “I’m in touch with the coaches. The visit was a way for them to get to know me and I know I didn’t disappoint them.”
“We have a really good relationship,” he added. “They welcomed me with open arms. We laughed a lot together and we didn’t only talk about football. We also talked about life.”
He is well aware of the 10-4 K-State season ending with a Big 12 Championship for the Wildcats.
“They did a really good job and I understand how when I went there,” Jalloh pointed out. “They won the the Big 12 Championship against TCU, the same TCU that played for the national Championship. And I loved watching Felix Anudike-Uzomah this season.”
After receiving an offer from the Cyclones just days ago, he will take an official visit to Iowa State this weekend.
