Nuggets on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market. K-State defeated Colorado out of the bye week to move to 5-1.

So, we’re going to be all football in this week’s feature.

We mentioned before the season that the vibes on the Kansas State roster were great. It was improved from last year. The team seems much closer and much more celebratory of each other. That can make good teams great.

We saw more of that in Boulder.

The Wildcats suffered more injuries at Folsom Field. It seemed like a member of the K-State secondary was going down every play at one point in the second half. But West Virginia also comes into Saturday’s game a bit hobbled.

A few of their standouts are on the injury report.

An interesting item to look at every week is snap counts. It can show progress of some players lower on the depth chart. It can show players falling out of favor. It can tell you a lot about a particular position group as well and who is preferred.
