Nuggets: Kansas State winning late games could prove significant
Nuggets on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market. K-State was able to get back off the mat following two losses to demolish Cincinnati in Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
But with the season’s end in sight (just one regular season game remaining), we dive into some of the discussions and storylines that will come into focus during the offseason. Who stays and who goes is always a hot button anymore.
Kansas State won’t be an exception. We chat about one player in particular that will have a difficult decision to make.

Despite it being early in the basketball season, Kansas State has already taken on a second loss. They were smoked by LSU in Manhattan a week and a half ago but also fell to Liberty in the semifinal of the Paradise Jam. We did say beforehand the Flames were no joke.
Unfortunately, the Wildcats just didn’t hit enough of their open shots they created and were abysmal on the defensive end in the second half. They have to turn it around and fast. Two more mid-majors are next on the schedule before a stretch of three losable games to St. John’s, Drake, and Wichita State to close out the non-conference portion.

Yes, Kansas State is very unlikely to advance to Arlington. A lot would have to happen for the Wildcats to clinch a berth in the Big 12 Championship Game, not just a win over Iowa State in Ames. But that doesn’t mean winning at the end of the season isn’t important. The games still matter and can impact offseason.
