Nuggets: Waiver statuses of Kansas State offensive linemen

Nuggets on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market. With the portal additions and early high school enrollees on campus, K-State knows what their roster will look like, at least for spring ball.
One interesting situation that we have been following has been in regards to how the Kansas State offensive line will shake out. We knew they’d be losing Easton Kilty and of course Carver Willis elected to leave the program.
While we thought Hadley Panzer and Taylor Poitier would both exit as well (with expiring eligibility), both did apply for a waiver so that they could be granted another year of eligibility. Poitier had two seasons cut due to injury and Panzer played in a very minimal number of snaps during his 11 appearances in 2021.
What is the likelihood they win their appeal?

A transfer that is already on the K-State campus is making strong impressions about how he has looked, though much of it is just physical appearances, lifting and running. Not much actual football activity is taking place.

The Kansas State quarterback room will also look a little different. A older, steady hand like Ta’Quan Roberson will no longer be the back-up to Avery Johnson. But hopes are high that they’ll have a strong answer at No. 2 without him.
