Nuggets on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market. It’s Tulane week and we have a few tidbits to share about this week’s K-State game.

We have the latest on the Kansas State injury report, which is basically exclusive to the linebacker position. Unfortunately, assistant Steve Stanard hasn’t had any better luck this year. It’s been similar to 2023 minus the season-enders.

All of Austin Moore, Alec Marenco and Asa Newsom have been dealing with stuff.

One cornerback that surprisingly didn’t see any action in game one was Kanijal Thomas. The sophomore was a regular on special teams a year ago. He had been available and a participant at every K-State practice that we saw in training camp, even if he did have a limited contact jersey on like DJ Giddens.

We share the latest on Thomas’ status.

Kansas State is no stranger to swimming in deeper recruiting waters. A few examples in the past have been Avery Johnson, Dylan Edwards, Jordan Allen, Will Anciaux, Keagan Johnson, VJ Payne, Newsom and most recently Linkon Cure.

They’ve pinpointed another that they can hang with in the 2026 class on the defensive side of the ball.
