Rapid Recap: Kansas State injury updates
Kansas State health updates
Kansas State is pretty dinged up at the moment. Wide receiver Keagan Johnson was injured during warmups Saturday night vs Arizona State and did not play. Running back Dylan Edwards was injured during the game and did not return.
K-State head coach Chris Klieman did not have an update on either player. Neither will practice today and will likely know more on both of those players later on in the week. Klieman also revealed DJ Giddens has not been 100 percent and is hoping to get more healthy this week. Jadon Jackson was also unavailable Saturday and his status is unknown.
Saturday standouts
Due to Jackson and Johnson not being available Saturday, it led to more opportunities for Tre Spivey and Dante Cephas. Both players stepped up in their snaps available as well. Cephas posted a Kansas State high 65 yards on four catches. Spivey also added four catches for 65 yards. With Edwards dinged up and Giddens also not 100 percent Joe Jackson also was also able to get more snaps and played well scoring a touchdown.
Klieman was proud of all three players and how they stepped up when their number was called. All three of them made big plays and he is hoping it springs them to have a good rest of the season.

Klieman shoots down rumors
The start of the press conference began with Klieman being asked about retirement rumors. The Kansas State head coach immediately shot those rumors down. Klieman has been dealing with personal matters for the past few weeks. His family has not been around in these last few weeks which has been tough on him. However, everyone in Vanier Complex has helped Klieman and his family for the situation they are going through.
On a positive note, Klieman did reveal things are starting to look more positive for him and his family.
