Accountability
Saturday night was as emotional as I have seen a Chris Klieman press conference. He took total and complete accountability for the Kansas State loss to Arizona State. Klieman told the team and media the loss was on him and one that can’t happen.
He also feels like he let the older players in the locker room down, even though he knows those players all have his back. The K-State head coach said he needs to get the team ready to play better and acknowledged the Wildcats have struggled when things do not go well.
Klieman also got emotional during the press conference saying again how tough the last two weeks have been on him personally. It was also brought up Monday during his mid-week press conference that he was going through some things from a personal standpoint.
Kansas State kicking game
The Kansas State kicking game has been an adventure the past two games. Snapping has been a major issue. K-State attempted two field goals Saturday night and the snaps were a problem on both. On the first snap it was Mason Olguin at long snapper and Simon McClannan on the hold and the ball did not get down.

Chris Tennant couldn’t even kick it.
On the second attempt it again was a poor snap, but McClannan was able to get it down. However, the operation still not being clean led to Tennant’s timing being off and a missed field goal.
The Kansas State kicking game must improve. There was no rain or any kind of weather this time around, said Klieman. He’s done with the excuses.
