Rapid recap: What Kansas State can learn
Kansas State defensive line shines
Kansas State’s defensive line may have played their best game of the season at Colorado. K-State tallied six sacks and added plenty of pressure on Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Brendan Mott specifically was unblockable at times.
Kansas State head coach Chris Klieman does not believe his team beat the Buffaloes without how his defensive line played. Mott played like the head coach knows he can play and called the defensive line phenomenal. The Wildcat defensive line all received the hammers Kansas State hands out after the game for their players of the game along with Ta’Quan Roberson.
Giddens is a star
DJ Giddens continued his special season in Boulder. The junior running back ran for 182 yards and added 38 yards receiving, including a 34-yarder to set up a game-winning touchdown drive. It was Giddens’ second straight game with 200 yards from scrimmage. On the 34-yard reception, the running back wanted to make amends for a drop he had earlier in the game. Kansas State offensive coordinator Conor Riley called the same play and Giddens found himself wide open down the sideline.
He is playing as well as the Kansas State head coach has seen. Giddens does not go down with first contact and made a lot of Colorado defenders miss Saturday.

What K-State can learn
Kansas State grew up in Boulder. After an Avery Johnson interception late in the game to set up a Colorado touchdown to give the Buffaloes the lead, K-State found a way to respond which was something they did not do in Provo. The interception was one of many pieces of adversity for the Wildcats which can help them grow.
Johnson missed part of the first drive in the second half with an injury and Ta’Quan Roberson was thrust into action. The grad transfer quarterback remained poised and in control and helped lead a touchdown drive. Kansas State was a MASH unit in the secondary and still managed to come out on top. Those reps for Zashon Rich, Daniel Cobbs and Nickendre Stiger will be vital down the road for the Wildcats.
