Our Kansas State recruiting scoop moving forward will now be via a message board post at KSO and sponsored by our friends at MyPerfectFranchise.net. We thank them for their partnership and supporting the Wildcats and our site at On3.

Just like in college football, the basketball roster and scholarship numbers will be modified a bit under the house settlement agreement. Assuming no other changes are made or litigated, teams will be able to carry as many as 15 players and be able to place all under scholarship.

What will the approach of K-State head coach Jerome Tang under the new settings?

Speaking of Tang and recruiting, K-State has also re-directed attention back to the high school Class of 2025. They struck out with a handful of targets like AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson and Cam Ward, but they’ve pivoted to less-heralded prospects that provide upside.

Will Kansas State close the deal with any of Ashton Magee, Exavier Wilson or Thomas Bassong?

The actual first addition for the Wildcats came before the offseason began. Tyreek Smith left Memphis because of disagreements over NIL, not too dissimilar to what happened over a year ago between Ques Glover and BYU.

He instead chose not to play for the Tigers this year, picked Kansas State and enrolled in January. What is the confidence that he will be granted his waiver and allowed to play for the Wildcats next season?
