Our Kansas State recruiting scoop moving forward will now be via a message board post at KSO and sponsored by our friends at MyPerfectFranchise.net. We thank them for their partnership and supporting the Wildcats and our site at On3.

Transfer portal recruiting has taken up most of our time since the season started, and K-State has actually latched onto and signed 12 different additions already and probably 13 (Ralph Ortiz). But let’s not lose sight of high school football recruiting, either.

That is still important to the fabric of the Kansas State football program, and head coach Chris Klieman stressed that at a recent press conference. We’re going to turn our attention to the in-state chases a bit, where K-State recently fell short for JJ Dunnigan of Manhattan, even if it is a recruitment not over.

The first to discuss is Maize South defensive lineman Hunter Higgins. At one point the Wildcats were in a good spot but they quickly disappeared and even were not included in the top four. That was Kansas, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Michigan.

We share our final prediction of where he will land, if Kansas State can get back involved and how we got here for the three-star prospect.

Higgins decides later on Wednesday, but word is another Sunflower State product in the Class of 2026 could also make a decision at some point this month. And it very could well be a good thing for the Wildcats.

Lastly, guess who was on campus not long ago? None other than K-State football and basketball target (now) Ian Premer. He has an offer from both Klieman and Jerome Tang. We examine what the visit means and where his process currently sits?

We also provide a hint of what is inside below.

  • Premer makes another stop in Manhattan.
