Our Kansas State recruiting scoop moving forward will now be via a message board post at KSO and sponsored by our friends at MyPerfectFranchise.net. We thank them for their partnership and supporting the Wildcats and our site at On3.

Let’s be real, the home state of Kansas will not be as fruitful to K-State this cycle. It was always a class where the potential Power Four prospects were more KU-friendly, but it has bore out and the Wildcats have just one commit from Kansas and await the decision of Ian Premer.

Other territories have become more important because of that. Why not Oklahoma? It’s a neighboring state with plenty of talent on a yearly basis. That’s not all. Kansas State has a lot of ties to the Sooner State on the staff in Brian Lepak, Luke Wells and Matt Wells.

They are helping to lead a class that could have a few standouts from Oklahoma. DJ Ackerson is already committed. Could two more also be on the verge of doing so?

K-State has been busy in the transfer portal as well, especially on the offensive line. Lepak and the Wildcats landed Terrence Enos from Pittsburgh and JB Nelson of Penn State. But they aren’t stopping there. A four-star offensive lineman will be checking out Manhattan in the near future.

We have documented the excellent portal plan and haul by K-State. They’re in the mix for the best prospect in Kansas and have other four-star prospects expected to take official visits in May and June. Why the rush of success?
