Three-star RB Demarius Robinson discusses Kansas State offer
After going away from the state of Oklahoma on the recruiting trail initially under head coach Chris Klieman, going forward that could change for Kansas State. Part of it stems from hiring co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Matt Wells who grew up in the Sooner State.
Another factor is K-State tight ends coach Brian Lepak who also grew up in Oklahoma. He has jump-started the efforts and Wells has only furthered that movement. It has led to more offers to prospects from that part of the country in the 2025 and 2026 classes.
A 2025 prospect from Oklahoma to keep in mind is Edmond running back Demarius Robinson. Kansas State offered him February 2.
“I was shocked and speechless,” Robinson said. “I wasn’t expecting it at all. I’m definitely grateful for the offer. The thought of possibly playing for a school that has produced some great talent is a dream come true.”
K-State assistant Brian Anderson extended the offer to the high school junior.
“Anderson said my film was great and wants me to come to campus and check it out,” Robinson shared. “We watched a couple of hype videos before he extended the offer as well.”
While the opportunity was given to him by Anderson, it was actually Lepak that was the Kansas State representative/staff member that visited Edmond Santa Fe High School during the contact period to see Robinson.
“I’ve met Lepak twice,” he pointed out. “Once in spring ball and again this past December. There wasn’t much conversation like with Coach Anderson but he was a cool guy.”

Robinson is seeing his recruitment take off a bit. He added the offer from K-State and Houston during the contact period. Arizona State is another Power Four program that has offered. He wants to visit a handful of schools over the Spring.
“I want to visit Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Arizona state, Oklahoma and Houston,” he noted. “I’m looking forward to just being able to see their campus really and build a relationship with the coaches.”
Robinson is still working on a commitment timeline. He would like to commit to a school this Summer, though, if possible.
“I am looking for a school that will give me an opportunity to grow and develop with the hopes of getting into the NFL,” he concluded. “And of course great academics.”
