Three-star safety Noah King commits to Kansas State
Kansas State snags another defensive back in Fairfield, Ohio safety Noah King.
The announcement from King comes on the heels of visiting K-State. He was in Manhattan for three days and enjoyed his time, which included competing in front of the coaches at the last camp of the offseason.
His recruitment was a bit of a sprint. The Wildcats offered the rising senior July 3 during the dead period and made it a priority to get him scheduled to visit as soon as the contact period opened back up. King responded by committing to Kansas State nearly immediately afterwards.
King saw his recruitment blow up a bit the past few months. After camping at both Kentucky and Nebraska, he received offers from both schools. Originally, he was going to visit both Kentucky and Nebraska during the month of June but they did not take place.
In total, the rising senior held offers from Oregon State, Marshall, Illinois State, Buffalo, Ball State, West Virginia, Bowling Green and Eastern Kentucky in addition to the three Power Four opportunities in his possession.
K-State defensive coordinator and safeties coach Joe Klanderman deserves a lot of credit for landing King. He made the three-star prospect from Ohio feel like a major priority, which was important to him after being lightly courted by Kentucky and Nebraska.

Both King and Klanderman consider themselves football junkies, and that contributed to the two clicking while together in Manhattan.
Overall, King is commitment No. 16 for Kansas State in the 2025 recruiting class and No. 13 since June 9.
He joins a K-State class that consists of Dillon Duff, Weston Polk, Will Kemna, Martel Jackson, Adonis Moise, Dalton Knapp, Sawyer Schilke, JoJo Scott, Maguire Richman, Dominic Mitchell, Brock Heath, Linkon Cure, RJ Collins, Monterrio Elston and Ashton Moore.
King is also the third safety of the class, though Collins could play cornerback.
According to the On3 Industry Ranking, King is ranked the No. 740 player in the country, No. 39 athlete and No. 29 player in the state of Ohio.
