Top transfer Arthur Kaluma begins official visit to Kansas State
One of the top available players in the country is Creighton transfer Arthur Kaluma. He is being pursued by the likes of Kentucky, Alabama, Texas, Baylor and Texas Tech. But Kansas State is also in the mix, and he has begun an official visit to Manhattan.
Trips to both Lexington and Lubbock are also being considered.
The Wildcats of course have three spots remaining after adding three true freshmen and the Conference USA Player of the Year in North Texas transfer Tylor Perry. Additionally, budding K-State star Nae’Qwan Tomlin removed his name from NBA consideration and has returned to school.
Like Tomlin, Kaluma also declared for a professional try as well but ultimately chose to withdraw his name and play another college season. That is why he has had such a late start to his recruitment out of the transfer portal.
Upon advancing to the Elite Eight in March and finishing third in the Big 12, Kansas State has been in contention with some of the best recruits in the nation, both on the high school front and in the transfer portal.

Although they have connected just a couple times, the best of the best are considering the Wildcats, and that is a big jump in recruiting punch for K-State. The climb and elevation of the program has continued under Kansas State head coach Jerome Tang.
They are the first to host Kaluma for an official visit. The top available player according to multiple outlets has scored in double figures each of the last two seasons and still has two years of college eligibility remaining.
The Kansas State target also averaged five and six rebounds per contest, respectively, the last two years. His prep school was Dream City Christian in Arizona, a program that has been recruited by the K-State coaches since the staff arrived in Manhattan.
Stay tuned to KSO for the latest on Kaluma and the chase from Kansas State.
