What we’re hearing on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market, both from a team and K-State recruiting standpoint.

It is also brought to you by Aer Lingus – which have the travel packages for you if you want to see Kansas State take on Iowa State in Ireland in 2025. Make sure to visit Cats2Ireland.com today and check out the opportunities.

Unfortunately we just saw the K-State women’s basketball season end on Saturday night when they couldn’t prevail against USC. The win over Kentucky was paved by the sharpshooting of Temira Poindexter, but she wasn’t able to duplicate that performance versus the Trojans in Spokane.

We explain why it was such a success that the Wildcats added her in the offseason and why she was such an important part of the Kansas State run.

Switching gears, it’s almost that time to follow the Kansas State football team again. Spring ball begins in less than a week. Earlier we identified the three transfers that had made the biggest strides and received the most positive reviews since arriving in Manhattan.

We also can deliver news on another player that could be capable of making a surprise splash.

Not only did Jeff Mittie lead K-State to a second weekend appearance in the NCAA Tournament for the first time, but he also was a sought-after candidate by Missouri before they hired Kellie Harper as the school’s next head coach.

But Mittie turned down the overture from the Tigers, and we share why he chose to remain in Manhattan for the foreseeable future.

  • Jeff Mittie elects to stay in Manhattan instead of taking Missouri job.
