What we’re hearing on Kansas State (in terms of inside intel) is relegated to our message board at KSO but still spills out the best information on the Wildcats in the market, both from a team and K-State recruiting standpoint.

It is also brought to you by Aer Lingus – which have the travel packages for you if you want to see Kansas State take on Iowa State in Ireland in 2025. Make sure to visit Cats2Ireland.com today and check out the opportunities.

The bye week is behind us and we’re fully into game week just before Arizona State travels to K-State for one of the top games of the week. The Sun Devils are a bit banged up lately but still have reason to believe they are a contender to make it to Arlington for the Big 12 title game.

Speaking of, both BYU and Colorado control their own destiny. The Wildcats do not. In addition to winning out, they need a little help to make it to AT&T Stadium for a chance to play for a conference championship.

We explain why Kansas can aid them moving forward.

Part of the reason the Wildcats need help from Lance Leipold and KU is the unbalanced scheduling. They have received a far more complicated league slate than any of the remaining Big 12 title contenders. We document how the road has been far more challenging for K-State.

We also switch gears to the recruiting front. It has been more quiet this season for Kansas State just because they did 95 percent of their work early. They’re full speed ahead on the 2026 cycle at least until the transfer portal opens and already have a commit from that class in cornerback Brandon Ford.

Perhaps the jewel of the in-state group will be Great Bend tight end Ian Premer. We share the latest developments on his recruitment as it pertains to the Wildcats.

We provide a hint of what is inside below.

  • Unbalanced scheduling a disadvantage this season for the Wildcats.
  • Where Kansas State is positioned with Premer.
