Why K-StateOnline is joining On3
I want to begin by saying I’m grateful to the Kansas State fans. I am not a Kansas State graduate or a native Kansan. Hell, I am not even a native of anywhere in the central time zone, but yet, you’ve embraced me and I have enjoyed the hell out of covering the Wildcats.
That’s why I am staying. Other opportunities arose to relocate and cover other schools. I didn’t want that. I wanted to keep covering the Cats.
I also want to do it the right way by improving the product and taking it to another level. On3 wanted my services, and I sold them on what we could do in the Kansas State market because I believe in it.
With their resources and the talent that they are acquiring and surrounding all of us with, I decided that was the route to take. It will make our content that much better and even expand on it.
We pride ourselves on being the best in delivering recruiting information and gathering all the K-State news we can. On3 will only embolden KSO and create opportunities for us to do more. I couldn’t be more excited.

I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t think it was the right thing to do.
We could have kept the status quo and done what is comfortable for everyone. I realize a move like this has been completed in the past, but we our insistent that this will be the best decision for all involved.
I hope that you keep the faith in us to do so and join the ride.
At the same time, we are aware that many are still in agreements that take their viewership and subscriptions to later dates. I realize that was accompanied with the idea that the arrangement would be far different and that may be causing frustration.
If I could have shared ahead of time about the move, I would have done so, but that wasn’t in our power.
Instead, you can sign up for a whole year with us at On3 for $1 and that should mitigate some of the confusion. Thanks for your past dedication and commitment to us. We’ll continue to earn it every single day.
