2022 NBA All-Star Game voting is officially OPEN
It’s that time of year again, where the NBA allows its fans to have a pretty significant voice in terms of which players make the All-Star team or not. Starting on Christmas Day and running through Jan. 22 at midnight, fans are able to cast votes regarding who they want to see make the upcoming All-Star event. Fan voting accounts for 50 percent of all the votes, while the media (25 percent) and players (25 percent) split the rest.
Why does this matter to the Big Blue Nation? Well, we don’t call it the BBNBA for nothing. As of the day after Christmas, a total of 30 former Kentucky Wildcats have been on an NBA roster in the 2021-22 season thus far. The usual suspects will expect to make runs at more All-Star appearances, such as Anthony Davis and Karl-Anthony Towns, while some first-timers could sneak onto ballots, as well.
But first, let’s talk about how to vote.
Throughout the four-week voting period, fans may submit one full ballot each day via the NBA App and NBA.com, as well as vote for up to 10 unique players per day on Twitter. All current NBA players will be available for selection. Five “2-for-1 Days” will allow fans to have their votes count twice on Dec. 25, Jan. 7, Jan. 13, Jan. 17 and Jan. 20 through the NBA App, NBA.com and Twitter voting platforms. The first 2-for-1 Day on Christmas Day will be from 11 a.m. ET until midnight ET. The next four “2-for-1 Days” will be designated from 12:01 a.m. ET – midnight ET.

Voting is restricted by position, too. So each time you cast a vote, you’ll be able to pick two backcourt players from the Eastern and Western Conferences then three frontcourt players from each, as well.
