2023 Kentucky Football Schedule Unveiled
The SEC Network rolled out the red carpet for a primetime release of next year’s conference football schedule. It’s time to mark your calendars for the 2023 Kentucky football schedule.
Similar to the 2022 campaign, the Wildcats will not play an FCS opponent on SoCon Saturday, the nickname given to the penultimate week of the regular season that serves as a tune-up for rivalry week. Unlike the 2022 campaign, Kentucky will wait until week four to play an SEC opponent, Vanderbilt.

Good News: Kentucky will not hit the road to face its cross-divisional foe next fall. Bad News: Alabama will be the Wildcats’ additional SEC West opponent, accompanying Mississippi State. It will be the Crimson Tide’s first trip to Lexington since they defeated Kentucky 48-7 in 2013, Mark Stoops’ first season at UK.
It also must be noted that this schedule is subject to change, thanks to conference realignment. Texas and Oklahoma are not scheduled to join the SEC until 2025, but TV contracts and buyouts may push ESPN and commissioner Greg Sankey into action sooner than expected. There’s no indication it will happen by next fall, but it’s certainly worth keeping in mind.
